Decon & Protect begins with our complete Wash & Protect process, followed by acidic decontamination, iron removal, and clay treatment to address water mineral deposits, limescale, embedded iron particles, and other bonded contamination. 01 What’s the difference between wax and a ceramic sealant?
Traditional car wax provides gloss and short term protection but generally wears away relatively quickly. A ceramic sealant uses modern synthetic protection designed to provide greater durability, water repellency, and resistance to environmental contamination. We use a ceramic spray sealant on all exterior services to leave the paint protected and easier to maintain.
02 Why choose a professional hand wash instead of an automatic or touchless car wash?
Automatic car washes prioritize speed and convenience. Brush style washes contributes to swirls and marring from repeated contact, while touchless washes avoid that contact but rely heavily on stronger chemicals and lack the mechanical agitation needed to fully remove stubborn road film and grime. 03 Which exterior service should I choose?

Choose Decon & Protect if you want to go a step further. It adds chemical and mechanical decontamination to remove bonded contaminants, water mineral buildup, and embedded grime that regular washing isn’t designed to remove, providing a deeper exterior reset before protection is applied.
04 My vehicle is new or already in good condition. Why would I need decontamination?
A vehicle can look clean while still having contamination bonded to the paint. Iron particles, mineral deposits, road film, and environmental fallout can accumulate even on newer or well kept vehicles. Over time, this buildup can leave the paint feeling rough, reduce gloss, and interfere with how well protection bonds and performs. Decon & Protect removes these contaminants to restore a cleaner, smoother surface and create a better foundation for protection.
05 What is DI water and why does it matter?
Deionized (DI) water has the dissolved minerals found in ordinary tap water removed. Those minerals are what get left behind as water spots when water dries on your paint and glass. We use 100% DI water for every exterior service to provide a truly spot free rinse, especially important on hot days and in direct sunlight.
06 Will a decontamination help restore my ceramic coating's performance?
Yes, in many cases. Mineral deposits, road film, iron particles, and other contamination can build up on top of a ceramic coating and reduce its beading and water behavior. A proper decontamination removes this buildup and can help restore the coating's performance without needing to reapply it.
